Sisakan BBM buat Anak Cucu Kita

Suatu hari si Ujang tak bisa memasak. Karena terlalu terbiasa menggunakan minyak tanah, dirumahnya hanya ada kompor minyak tanah. Sumirah sang istri pun kelabakan, bubur si anak tak bisa disiapkan. BLT tidak membawa perubahan yang signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan hidup mereka ke depan. Tetapi kita harus tetap adil melihat segala sesuatunya. Tidak adil rasanya kalau kita terus mengecam kebijakan pemerintah sambil menutup mata. Asal teriak aja, itu juga ga baik.

Mari coba kita berandai, seandainya saat ini kita yang duduk di posisi presiden atau menko kesra. Betapa beratnya mengambil keputusan ini. Memang presiden tahu bahwa keputusan yang ia ambil akan menjatuhkan tingkat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap dia lagi. Tetapi keputusan ini tetap beliau ambil. Apa artinya ? Secara pribadi saya menganggap presiden tidak terlalu peduli dengan dampak bagi kelangsungan karirnya di 2009. Ia tidak memikirkan itu dulu –tidak seperti beberapa politisi yang mencoba mengail di air keruh–, yang beliau pikirkan saat ini adalah menyelamatkan APBN-P 2008.

Saya tak membayangkan jika APBN kita porak poranda. APBN itu tak hanya untuk subsidi BBM belaka. Banyak hal lagi yang harus dipikirkan. Sektor pertanian, kehutanan, perdagangan, pendidikan dan kesehatan juga harus diperhitungkan.
